Meet the real wags! Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu, and Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic introduce us to their four-legged friends.

The soccer stars show us their pets in the latest issue of Boys Magazine.

In tests, people are able to match dogs to their owners simply by looking at photographs of their faces. Apparently, it’s something to do with the eyes. The latest issue of Boys Magazine puts this theory to the test with three Premier League footballer and their pet pooches. Check out the pictures above and decide for yourself.

The magazine asked the players which position their dogs would play if they were on their team.

Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin’s dog is Otto, a particularly speedy Weimaraner.

He’s a fast dog so I’d see him as a striker. If I had to choose a player that he’s like I’d say the Ox (Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arsenal winger); they both have style and pace. — Hector Bellerin

Everton attacking midfielder Gerard Deulofeu’s dog is Lucas, a Chihuahua.

He’s a Chihuahua, so you know, he’s the boss. He’d be the captain or the manager. — Gerard Deulofeu

Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic’s dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Louis.

Full back. He’s got great pace so I’d put him on the wings. Good dribbling skills too, of course. — Asmir Begovic

Not to be outdone, Four Four Two magazine recently featured Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli with his King Charles Spaniel/Shih-Tzu cross called Hugo.
