London threw a ‘Carnival of Resistance’ to welcome Donald Trump to the capital.
People from all walks of life came together to express their frustration at the policies of the US president. The ‘baby Trump’ blimp in Parliament Square was a major tourist attraction in the morning. Later in the day, two marches set off, bringing parts of London to a standstill as they converged on Trafalgar Square for a rally. The size of the protest was not clear, but it is thought that up to 250,000 people were involved during the course of the day, including many American citizens, some wearing ‘impeach Trump’ badges.
The Trump baby commented on the events of the day from his very own Twitter account.
My people. This is the most bigly inauguration crowd in Whole History of inaugurations of huge orange pop-up tyrants. Totally tremendous time. pic.twitter.com/rCvtmjw6rI
