There are lots of preconceptions that can make people nervous about taking part in their first Parkrun, such as not feeling fit enough, worrying about finishing last or being unsure what to wear. To show what Parkrun is really like watch, the hilarious new video.

Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, and are safe and easy to take part in.

Parkruns are a great way to improve your fitness. If you are new to exercise, you can start by walking, and then build up by running more of the course each week. Your weekly times, along with your age-weighted rankings, are a great incentive to raise your game each week. Who knows, before long you may progress to running your first 10k.
